# contour_model¶

sherpa.astro.ui.contour_model(id=None, **kwargs)

Create a contour plot of the model.

Displays a contour plot of the values of the model, evaluated on the data, including any PSF kernel convolution (if set).

Parameters: id (int or str, optional) – The data set that provides the model. If not given then the default identifier is used, as returned by get_default_id. replot (bool, optional) – Set to True to use the values calculated by the last call to contour_model. The default is False. overcontour (bool, optional) – If True then add the data to an exsiting plot, otherwise create a new contour plot. The default is False.

get_model_contour()
Return the data used by contour_model.
get_model_contour_prefs()
Return the preferences for contour_model.
get_default_id()
Return the default data set identifier.
contour()
Create one or more plot types.
contour_source()
Create a contour plot of the unconvolved spatial model.
sherpa.astro.ui.set_coord()
Set the coordinate system to use for image analysis.
set_psf()
Add a PSF model to a data set.

Examples

Plot the model from the default data set:

>>> contour_model()

Compare the model without and with the PSF component, for the “img” data set:

>>> contour_source("img")
>>> contour_model("img", overcontour=True)
