XSdisk

class sherpa.astro.xspec.XSdisk(name='disk')[source] [edit on github]

Bases: sherpa.astro.xspec.XSAdditiveModel

The XSPEC disk model: accretion disk, black body.

The model is described at [1].

Note

Deprecated in Sherpa 4.10.0

The NSmass parameter has been renamed to CenMass to match the XSPEC definition. The name NSmass can still be used to access the parameter, but this name will be removed in a future release.

accrate

The accretion rate, in Eddington luminosities.

CenMass

The central mass, in solar mass units.

Rinn

The inner disk radius in gravitational units (three Schwarzschild radii).

norm

The normalization of the model: see [1] for details.

Methods Documentation

apply(outer, *otherargs, **otherkwargs) [edit on github]
calc(pars, xlo, *args, **kwargs) [edit on github]
get_center() [edit on github]
guess(dep, *args, **kwargs) [edit on github]

Set an initial guess for the parameter values.

Attempt to set the parameter values, and ranges, for the model to match the data values. This is intended as a rough guess, so it is expected that the model is only evaluated a small number of times, if at all.

regrid(*arrays) [edit on github]
reset() [edit on github]
set_center(*args, **kwargs) [edit on github]
startup(cache) [edit on github]

Called before a model may be evaluated multiple times.
