XSvmcflow

class sherpa.astro.xspec.XSvmcflow(name='vmcflow')[source] [edit on github]

Bases: sherpa.astro.xspec.XSAdditiveModel

The XSPEC vmcflow model: cooling flow, mekal.

The model is described at [1]. The results of this model depend on the cosmology settings set with set_xscosmo.

lowT

The minimum temperature, in keV.

highT

The maxmimum temperature, in keV.

He, C, N, O, Ne, Na, Mg, Al, Si, S, Ar, Ca, Fe, Ni

The abundance relative to Solar.

redshift

The redshift of the plasma.

switch

If 0, the mekal code is run to evaluate the model; if 1 then interpolation of the mekal data is used; if 2 then interpolation of APEC data is used. See [1] for more details. This parameter can not be thawed.

norm

The mass accretion rate (solar mass per year).

apply(outer, *otherargs, **otherkwargs) [edit on github]
calc(pars, xlo, *args, **kwargs) [edit on github]
get_center() [edit on github]
guess(dep, *args, **kwargs) [edit on github]

Set an initial guess for the parameter values.

Attempt to set the parameter values, and ranges, for the model to match the data values. This is intended as a rough guess, so it is expected that the model is only evaluated a small number of times, if at all.

regrid(*arrays) [edit on github]
reset() [edit on github]
set_center(*args, **kwargs) [edit on github]
startup() [edit on github]

Called before a model may be evaluated multiple times.
